Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of the SolidOps monitoring platform.
Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using SolidOps in any way, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are using SolidOps on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms, and "you" refers to that organization throughout.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service. You can close your account at any time as described in the Termination section.
The service
SolidOps is an uptime and operations monitoring platform. It lets you configure checks against URLs, hostnames, and network endpoints; track response codes, latency, TLS certificate health, and WHOIS records; receive alerts when something changes; and review incident history.
SolidOps is an early product. We ship features incrementally, and the platform will grow over time. The feature set available on the day you purchase may differ from what is available six months later, in either direction. We will not remove core monitoring functionality from an active lifetime account, but we may retire, replace, or rework individual features as the product matures. Where a change is material, we will give reasonable notice.
Accounts and eligibility
To use SolidOps you must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement. By registering you confirm that you meet those requirements.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Use a strong, unique password. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us at security@solidops.tools and change your password immediately.
One account per person or organization. You may not share account access with others outside your organization, or resell access to SolidOps.
Acceptable use
SolidOps monitors endpoints that you own or have explicit permission to monitor. Do not configure checks against third-party systems without that permission.
You may not use SolidOps to:
- Send check traffic to a target at a rate that constitutes a denial of service or that materially disrupts the target's normal operation.
- Probe systems for vulnerabilities, harvest credentials, or conduct any form of attack under the guise of monitoring.
- Circumvent the check interval limits or rate limits that the platform enforces. If you need higher check frequencies, contact us.
- Use the platform to store, transmit, or process content that is illegal, defamatory, or that infringes any third-party rights.
- Attempt to access, modify, or interfere with another customer's account or data.
We reserve the right to investigate suspected abuse and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Where we can do so without compromising a security investigation, we will notify you before acting.
The lifetime plan and billing
One-time purchase. The SolidOps lifetime plan is a single payment of $449 (USD). This covers permanent access to the core platform: account creation, monitoring checks, incident history, alerting, and dashboard access. The plan is per-account and non-transferable.
Variable-cost resources. Certain resources carry ongoing infrastructure costs that scale with usage. Above the included base allowances, these are metered and billed monthly:
- Check storage and ingest volume: the base plan includes a defined retention window and check-result volume. Usage above that threshold is billed at published per-unit rates.
- Additional notification channels or integrations: some future integrations may carry a per-seat or per-use cost. Any such costs will be clearly disclosed before they apply to your account.
Variable-cost billing is handled by Stripe. You will be asked to add a payment method before you exceed the included allowances. SolidOps never stores your full card details. See Stripe's own terms and privacy policy for how Stripe handles payment data.
Refunds. Because the lifetime plan grants immediate and permanent access to the platform, all sales are final. If you encounter a technical problem that prevents you from using the service, contact us at legal@solidops.tools and we will work with you to resolve it. Refund requests based on a genuine inability to access the service will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Prices quoted are exclusive of any taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) that may apply in your jurisdiction. Where required by law, applicable tax will be added at checkout.
Your content and data
You own your monitoring data. The check targets you configure, the results SolidOps collects on your behalf, and the incident records associated with your account belong to you.
By using SolidOps, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content solely as necessary to provide the service. We do not use your monitoring data for any purpose outside running the checks you configure and displaying results back to you.
For detail on how personal data within your account is handled, including retention periods and your rights to access or delete it, see our Privacy Policy.
Service availability and changes
SolidOps is an early-stage product and we do not yet offer a formal uptime Service Level Agreement. We operate the platform with care and monitor our own infrastructure, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, unexpected incidents, and infrastructure dependencies outside our control may all cause downtime.
We may modify, add, or discontinue features over time. Where a change materially reduces the functionality that was available when you purchased, we will provide reasonable notice by email and via an in-app announcement.
We will not reduce the core monitoring functionality (check execution, result storage within included allowances, and alerting) from an active lifetime account without providing at least 90 days of advance notice and a data export opportunity.
Warranties and disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SolidOps disclaims all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that monitoring results will be complete or accurate in every circumstance. Network conditions, third-party infrastructure, and factors outside our control may affect check results.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any warranty or right that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SolidOps and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these terms or the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to SolidOps in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) $100 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, the limitations above apply only to the extent permitted by law.
Termination
You may close your account at any time from the account settings page. On closure, your monitoring configuration and personal data will be deleted within 30 days as described in the Privacy Policy, except where we are required by law to retain records for longer.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms, engage in conduct that poses a risk to the security or integrity of the platform or other users, or fail to pay any overdue variable-cost charges after reasonable notice. Where practical, we will warn you before suspending your account.
Data export. If we terminate your account for reasons other than your own breach, we will provide a 30-day window during which you can export your monitoring configuration and incident history in a machine-readable format before the data is deleted.
Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership of your data, warranties and disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will continue to apply after your account closes.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product, our legal obligations, or the applicable regulatory environment evolves. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify registered account holders by email with reasonable advance notice.
Continued use of SolidOps after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those terms. If you disagree with a change, you may close your account before the effective date.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction, to be confirmed], without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in that jurisdiction, unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.
We will update this section when the governing jurisdiction is finalized.
